Revised Results: Picosa Declared Winner of Suntex Division 7

A scoring adjustment has been made in Suntex Division 7 of the 2025 Transpac Race, involving the vessel Rahan, a Beneteau First 36 sailed double-handed by Charles-Etienne Devanneaux and Fred Courouble. Rahan was the first boat to finish in her division, and the first to finish of all Tuesday starters—a remarkable achievement for a double-handed team.

After the finish, a rating discrepancy that resulted from input errors was discovered. Once addressed, Rahan’s corrected time was adjusted to 08d 20:57:26, moving her into second place in the Division. All parties acknowledged the issue, and a revised scoring was released.

Doug & Jack Jorgensen’s J/111 Picosa, with a corrected time of 08d 19:53:50, was declared the winner of Suntex Division 7.

Skipper Alli Bell and Restless Crew on Course to Make Transpac History

First woman skipper to win Transpac Race Overall

The (fiber)glass ceiling endured for 119 years.

On Sunday night at 2223, local time, skipper Alli Bell and the crew of her Cal 40 Restless took a winch handle to the notion that winning the Transpacific Yacht Race’s top corrected-time prize requires membership in an old-boys club or a mighty war chest. Bell’s Cal 40 crossed the race’s storied finish line off of Honolulu’s Diamond Head with an estimated corrected finish time of 8 days, 12 hours, 5 minutes and 49 seconds. Provisionally, this is the fastest time among the 53 boats, competing in 10 divisions, that began this year’s 2,225-nautical mile race in Los Angeles.
